a brief history
 
1923
FAVCO
Favelle and Cole started by Edward Arthur Favelle and Harry Cole. Started as an Automotive Repair and Oxy car structure welder.
FAVELLE KRØLL
1930
2nd generation Eric Favelle remodeled as a welding shop.    
1945
3rd generation Ted Favelle started, working for father Eric.    
1955
Favelle & Co. took over Morts Dock and Engineering and renamed Favelle Mort  
1956
    Krøll was established by Mr. Fridtjof Berg Krøll as an agency of Linden Cranes from Sweden.
1958
    Krøll manufactures its first crane K18 (18 tonne metre capacity).
1962
Favelle Mort commenced to manufacture cranes.    
1968
Penetrated the US market with Karl Koch Erection Co. II STD2700's delivered 8 units for World Trade Centre, New York.    
1969
1st Offshore Crane manufactured.    
1975
Company was picked up by the Aquila group and named "Aquila Favco Cranes". Favco meaning Favelle Cole.   2 units of K-1600 (1,600 tonne metre capacity) are manufactured and delivered to Sweden. The biggest cranes at the time.
1977
    The first K-3000 (3,000 tonne metre capacity) manufactured and delivered to the USA
1978
    The first K-3000 (3,000 tonne metre capacity) manufactured and delivered to the USA.
1980
  Ted Favelle left Favco Cranes and started his own company, EH Favelle Cranes.  
1988
    Krøll Cranes A/S introduces PLC control.
1990
EH Favelle Cranes and Favco merged to become Favelle Favco.  
1995
Favelle Favco bought over by Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd.  
1997
Favelle Favco acquires Krøll Cranes A/S.
1998
Favelle Favco Tower Cranes are commissioned to work on the Petronas Twin Towers.
Favelle Favco introduce the Crawler Crane range.
2001
The first Krøll K-5000 (5,000 tonne metre capacity) is manufactured.
2002
The first Krøll K-4000 (4,000 tonne metre capacity) is manufactured.
2004
Favelle Favco Tower Cranes begin work on Taipei 101 in Taiwan.
2006
Favelle Favco Public listed on Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange.
